Northend controlled the game from start to finish. Ciaran Campbell playing up front had a fantastic game. Patrick Ferris in midfield created three of Ciaran Campbell's 4 goals. His first came midway through the first half we. Ferris slid a lovely ball through for Campbell to finish. Campbell made it 2-0 when he received another through ball and coolly slotted under the keeper. His hat trick soon followed with another well taken goal, he was too hot to handle by Loughgall. Jamie Montgomery had an excellent game dealing with any of Loughgall's attack. Harry Wylie also was secure at centre half sweeping up all that came his way. Half time 0-3

Camlough Rovers 3 Northend United 1 Monday 11th April 2016
Another strong team faced Northend on Monday night. Camlough are sitting top of the league and it was clear early on why. A strong athletic team with solid players in most positions but to be fair to Northend the chances were limited. The first half was an even affair with not many clear cut chances. Camlough opened the scoring through a number of missed tackles allowing the striker to get to the by line before crossing but the Northend keeper parties it into his net. Northend equalised quickly through Z Clarke great ball played from deep by Harry Wylie finding Clarke storming into the box before smashing home. Patrick Ferris made a great run, breaking free from midfield, before shooting across the keeper but it shaved the far post. Half time 1-1
The second half saw Northend battle really hard, not allowing Camlough the same respect as the first half. But a few missed tackles allowed Camlough to score two on the bounce. Full time 3-1

Northend United 6 Glenavy 2 Saturday 9th April 2016
Northend came up against a Glenavy team for the second time in as many weeks. Northend took the lead early on with a superb goal from Ronan McKillop, assisted by the young Ciaran Campbell who started as striker. Quickly after, Glenavy equalised from poor play from Northend. However not long after the Ballymena Blues scored through Ciaran Campbell from a lively through ball by Harry Wylie. It was 3 quickly after when Campbell found Jude Casey 6 yards out. Half time 3-0
The second half started with Glenavy pressing Northend and a mistake allowed them to pull a goal back. But Northend pushed on and made it 4-2 through Patrick Ferris broke clear. Northend introduced Conor McGaughey at the break and he scored a brace making it 6-2. Both of his goals came from his quick reaction to score neatly.

Northend United 1 Blackstaff 6 Monday 4th April 2016
Northend play a strong Blackstaff team on Monday night. With a depleted squad Northend struggled to cope with the pace and strength of Blackstaff. Playing on a large pitch the space suited Blackstaff and they quickly took the lead. Northend could have had a couple of goals but struggled for the first half. There were 3 of the goals conceded should have even prevented. Half time 0-5
The second half was much better with Northend competing more. In fact Northend played te better football and got one back through Patrick Ferris and missing a penalty. But they couldn't get any more and the game finished 6-1.

Northend United 6 Glenavy 1 Saturday 2nd April 2016
Northend u13s met Glenavy for the first time this season. Northend started the game brightly and created a number of chances. Glenavy's threat came from their left side where their pace caused Northend's right back some trouble. And against the run of play Glenavy took an early lead down this side. Northend quickly got back on level terms through Patrick Ferris. The ever industrious midfielder had a great game alongside Ciaran Campbell. They caused havoc for the Glenavy creating numerous chances. Conor McGaughey made it 2-1 when he followed up from Patrick Ferris lob that came off the bar. Soon after it was 3-1 Northend's 3rd goal came from Jamie Montgomery who raced onto a loose ball at the edge of the box and smashed it past the keeper. Half time 3-1
Glenavy started the second half with a good goal but Northend never looked like losing. It was soon 4-2 scored by Lewis Steele. Ciaran Campbell was in great form all game mesmerising the Glenavy defence but just never getting the goal he deserved. He set up the fourth goal for Lewis Steele, the fifth for Adam Campbell and the sixth was an OG when Ciaran Campbell got to the by-line and crossed into the danger area where the unlucky defender facing his own nets could not keep it out. Full Time 6-1

Northend United 4 Carrick Rangers 1 Saturday 19th March 2016
Northend U13s met Carrick Rangers with tenor last encounter ending 0-0. Northend were missing three influential players this week but they still managed a win to leap frog Carrick in the league table.
Northend were a bit clumsy on the ball giving it away to easily in the opening minutes but fortunately Carrick didn't capitalise on it. Carrick did however take the lead mid way through the first half when a long range shot was spiked by Northend's keeper. But Northend equalised shortly after. Ciaran Campbell made a great jinxing run into the box and beat a number of Carrick players before finding Adam Campbell who coolly finished from six yards. Ronan McKillop could have made it 2-1 but failed to test the keeper, when well placed. Half time 1-1
The second half saw Northend blow away Carrick with two quick goals from Patrick Ferris and Adam Campbell's second. Patrick Ferris had a good game causing trouble for Carrick's midfield. And it was him who got Northend's fourth goal. He turned lovely just outside the box leaving the defence standing and took the ball on finding the net. Northend should have scored more in this game creating numerous chances and not allowing Carrick to get in behind them. This was a great team performance.
This result now sees Northend going into the Easter break in 7th place with only a few games left, in this highly competitive league. This has been a solid first season in the Lisburn league for this young team. Full time 4-1
Men of the Match: Patrick Ferris, Adam Campbell and Ciaran Campbell.

Northend United 5 Lisburn Ladies 1 Saturday 12th March 2016
Northend United met Lisburn Ladies in the league. This was a good game with the ladies playing some great football and showed lovely touches. Northend were slightly timid in their tackling but this was short lived as the Ladies showed the boys how to. Northend took the lead early on with a nicely taken goal from Harry Wylie. A nice controlled touch and side foot finish into the roof of the net. Patrick Ferris made it 2-0 after fifteen minutes. Northend should have scored 3 or 4 but the Lisburn Ladies keeper made some fantastic saves. Half time 2-0
The second half was more of the same from Northend Adam Campbell got on the score sheet along with Patrick Ferris getting his second and then Jamie Montgomery making it 5-0, scoring his first goal of the season. Lisburn Ladies did play well and got one back near the end. The score line may not have reflected how the ladies played, Northend took their chances but the boys came off knowing they were in a match. Full time 5-1

Northend United 0 Lisburn Youth 4 Saturday 27th February 2016
Northend U13s met a strong good footballing Lisburn youth This week. Lisburn controlled much of the game with Northend battling hard in defence and midfield but never created many chances. The first half was pretty even Northend should have scored in the first 2 minutes but failed to convert from 6 yards. Lisburn did take the lead from a failed clearance Northend left a player unmarked at the back post and he couldn't miss. Northend frustrated Lisburn through Patrick Ferris and Ciaran Campbell. Northend should have been level at the break. Half time 0-1
The second half got off to a dismal start, Northend's keeper Callum Richmond had to leave the field at half time unwell, Lisburn midfielder evaded a number of tackles running from the half way and shot from the edge of the box to make it 2-0. This took he pressure off Lisburn and we're happy to shut out Northend. However Adam Campbell could have scored two goals in the second half. Lisburn eventually scored 2 more goals in the dying minutes of the half. Northend were sloppy in tackles all day and three of the goals conceded should have been prevented. Disappointing result as Northend is normally better than this. Full time 0-4

Northend United 7 Portadown Youth 1 Saturday 20th February 2016
Northend got back to winning was against Portadown on Saturday. After a number of tough games, Northend cruised to an easy victory. Ryan McQuillan scored the first when the ball came back to him from a corner and he curled a lovely shot into te far corner. Adam Campbell got the second after ten minutes when he broke free from half way and he shot early into the roof of the net. Five minutes later it was 3-0 Ciaran Campbell showed some lovely skill passing three opponents before chipping the keeper but watched as it came off the bar before tapping it in. Just before half time Patrick Ferris made it 4-0 after missing a penalty earlier. Half time 4-0
The second half was more of the same from Northend. Patrick Ferris popped up to score his second of the day. Portadown did not offer much but Northend still had to do the business. Harry Wylie made it 6-0 midway through the half after also hitting the post. Conor McGaughey was also unlucky seeing his shot come of the bottom of the post. Portadown did get one back from a clearance on their half way line and the keeper misjudged the bounce. Patrick Ferris rounded off the day with his hat-trick. This was a great team performance from the boys. Full time 7-1

Hillsborough 2 Northend United 0 Saturday 13th February 2016
Northend U13s relished the chance to play Hillsborough Boys for the second time this season. The game continued in the same manner as the last, with Northend giving 100% commitment. The game never got flowing with regards to football, Hillsborough boys were strong in their challenges and Northend were very conscious of this and in some instances you could see this. There was very little to separate the two teams in the first half but Hillsborough created the better chances, and from a break mid way through the half Hillsborough took the lead. Northend defended fantastically all game but could never get past the last tackle. Northend's defence and midfield battled hard preventing the opposition from creating any clear chances with most of the half being played in their third of the pitch. Half time 1-0
The second half was much better, Northend pressurised Hillsborough and played with more urgency. Patrick Ferris who was quickly picked out by the Hillsborough team, broke on a number of occasions but he was never allowed to travel very far before being muscled off the ball. Ciaran Campbell played as the holding midfielder in front of Callum Higgins and Harry Wylie, who were both solid in their tackling. Jamie Montgomery had a good game too, not letting anyone past down the right. Northend grew into the game and had a number of good chances from free kicks just outside the box. It looked like Northend could grab a justifiable equaliser. However with ten minutes to go Hillsborough sprung the offside tray and made it 2-0. This was a harsh score line for the boys to accept after putting so much effort and hard work into the game. The result wasn't important in this match, the performance was and the boys played their heart out for their Jersey. Full time 2-0

Camlough Rovers 1 Northend United 0 Saturday 6th February 2016
Northend U13s met Camlough in the Shield who had demolished them on the first game of the season but Northend have come on leaps and bounds since then. Northend started brightly and had plenty of possession not giving Camlough any time on the ball. Having experienced what Camlough can do if given time on the ball Northend made sure it wasn't a repeat of their last encounter. Camlough were restricted to few chances and could not get past Harry Wylie in defence who read the game well, also Callum Higgins in midfield put in a good performance. Midway through the first half Camlough won a corner and Northend's keeper Callum Richmond made a good punch under pressure but Northend failed to react and Camlough quickly pounced and made it 1-0. This was the only chance they had in the game, Northend had a number of breaks through Patrick Ferris and Adam Campbell but Northend lacked a final ball in the last third. The game was a scrappy affair by both teams, conditions didn't help either but Northend failed to create many chances. Half time 1-0
The second half was much better, playing up the hill seemed to help Northend who pressurised Camlough and played with more urgency. Patrick Ferris broke on a number of occasions making a number of good runs but just never got past their last man. Harry Wylie continued to keep it tight at the back along with Callum Higgins. As the game went on it became tenser with Northend growing in confidence and taking the game to Camlough. But their lack of control and especially first touch made it difficult to command the game. However, like the first half, Northend failed to create any clear cut chances nor did Camlough, and the game finished 1-0.
This was a much better result than that of the first game Northend played this year and shows the progress the boys have made. Final score 1-0
Men of the Match - Harry Wylie, Callum Higgins and Patrick Ferris
